Ch-Ch-Changes

DSC08009

Until this weekend, springtime has been a reality (pretty much) in name only.

Then... yesterday ambient temperatures shot from -20F to +1F above zero. I thought that was really something, but this morning I opened the door and was slapped in the face with a major blast of warm air sporting +28F degrees!

Now, I know that doesn't sound very warm, but after months and months of subzero temperatures, twenty-eight degrees above zero is practically toasty.

And signs of spring are finally creeping into view.

Very nice.

You are exactly right about that. Thanks.

Hard to imagine 28 feeling warm but it's even harder for me to imagine how cold negative anything is LOL Glad you're getting some warm air - it must be wonderful to go outside in only 3 layers of clothes instead of 6!

Ok, I know I've asked this before, but do the allergies have issues up there? I ask because everything here is now tinged (ok, completely Covered) in a yellowish-green coating. If I could be spared the pollen season, negative temps would probably be a worth-while trade-off!

You'd be surprised how lightly I dress. It may be the "natural insulation" that I carry around all the time. Or it may just be acclimation, but as long as it's not too windy a jacket is plenty. Crazy, huh?

Tammy...
LOL! Good for you...not so great for me! :)

Bryan...
I haven't ever seen that kind of pollen here, but some people DO have problems with allergies and sinuses. That said, I used to get sick every couple of months "Down South," but here I almost never suffer with that kind of thing.

Thanks! Great to hear from you!
